In case of any transportation disruptions in the city I may end up using taxis more than I normally would. Can anyone please tell me if most taxis accept credit cards for payment? I was hoping not to have to get too many HK dollars as you can usually use your credit card or Octopus card in most places. Thanks so much! Overall, there are a variety of payment options available for taxi services in Boston. Cash is the most common payment method, but many taxis also accept major credit cards and mobile payments such as Apple Pay and Google Pay. It’s important to ask about any additional fees or discounts before you make your payment. Hi Gayler it is my understanding that some but not most taxis accept credit cards. If I'm mistaken I'm sure I will be correctly shortly. You should enough cash in skekels to get to your destination. As pointed out in other forum posts you can get shekels from the ATM where you pick up luggage snd arrivals hall and/or exchange dollars to shekels You can use almost any payment method, including credit cards, debit cards, Venmo, and PayPal, to add funds. In Brazil, you can add funds at more than 280,000 retail points of sale all over the country, including bancas and lotericas . You can pay by cash or credit card. If you pay cash, be sure to have $20 bills and smaller. (The driver is not required to accept any bill larger than $20.) If you’re happy with the trip, tip the driver. Usually, 15 to 20 percent is customary, or you can round up (if the cost is $8.40, give the driver $10). Of course, thank the driver. The driver said the price was 190 NIS in cash, or 200NIS if we used a credit card. I don't know if all the drivers offer credit card payment, but at least some do. 3. Re: Using credit card for taxi from Ben Gurion. As Lien said "probably be a 10% surcharge for a taxi fare paid with a CC." Let me say for certain that it will definately be a 10% surcharge, plus 10% GST on the surcharge if you pay by credit card. I'll put that in easy terms - $50 cab fare paid by card. Add 10% surcharge of $5 = $55. 10/11/19 05:09 PM. 5 posts. I was just in Rome and took a taxi from the airport to my hotel. There is a set price of 48 euros with the official taxi company. A driver still tried to charge me 60 euros which I declined to pay and got another taxi from the rank for 48. I talked to people who were conned into the 60 euros. bfGAH.
